Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 30, 2026

At Berux, we believe that transparency is the foundation of trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our IDE extensions, Headless CLI, and web dashboard.

1. Zero-Retention Code Architecture

Your codebase is your intellectual property. Our core service operates on a strict Zero-Retention Architecture.

  • No Code Storage: When you use our autocomplete or semantic refactoring tools, your code snippets and Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) are processed in-memory (RAM) and immediately discarded.

  • No Model Training: We absolutely do not use your private repository data, prompts, or proprietary logic to train, fine-tune, or improve our global Large Language Models (LLMs).

2. Information We Collect

To provide and maintain the Berux service, we collect minimal operational data:

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and billing details via our payment provider (e.g., Stripe).

  • Telemetry & Analytics: We collect anonymized usage metrics (such as the number of autocomplete requests made or IDE load times) to monitor system health. You can opt-out of telemetry at any time via the Berux CLI berux config set telemetry false.

3. Data Security

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3. For Enterprise customers utilizing our VPC or on-premise deployment options, all data processing occurs entirely within your own secured infrastructure, and no telemetry is sent to our global servers.
